DIANETICS technology is the modern science of mental health. A technology is the methods of application of a science as opposed to mere knowledge of the science iteself, it could also be defined as a body of truths.
Dianetics technology, is a simple to apply technology that allows any reasonably intelligent person, to better their own outlook on life or the outlook of those around them.
There are a lot of people and organizations around telling you what to think about yourself, and they offer all sorts of solutions. Maybe you have tried some of them. What they have in common is their transitory nature. You feel better for a while, but it doesn't last. That is because it misses the real reason for the problem. Maybe you also live with a person who has irrational fears and doubts, experiences bouts of depression and rollercoasters - doing well and then crashing and you have been unable to really give them lasting help. Some people have lived through abusive childhoods, and time and time again we see the second generation behaving just like their parents, despite all desire not to.
Understanding how the mind really works is not about guessing, or supposition. It is not about thinking positive thoughts. Even voices in a person's head trace back to times of unconsciousness and having people talk around an injured person.
The term ‘technology’ is used because Dianetics is not just about theory - it is about applying the principles with a practical methodology that gets a specific result. The end result of Dianetics is a finite state called a ‘Clear’. This is a person who has erased the controlling power of their reactive mind and they are well and happy. They are confident and can make decisions based on analytical observations - not from memories being imposed upon them from the past. They are much more confident, relaxed and able to achieve their goals. Dianetics teaches you to help yourself and to how help another.
The word Dianetics has it's base in two Greek words: dia – meaning through and nous – meaning soul. You could say that the word Dianetics means ”through the soul“ or more correctly, “What the soul is doing to the body”. Dianetics procedure provides you with simple answers to life’s apparently complex problems. It increases sanity, intelligence, confidence and well–being. It can get rid of unwanted emotions, feelings or psychosomatic ills.
