Get Rid of Your Reactive Mind

There is an exact procedure given in the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, and we have a simple guide on how to do the procedure at home. But we will attempt to give you some idea of HOW the procedure works here.

Your mind is constantly recording everything you do. Drinking a glass of water would have every moment of you drinking the water, including all the feelings, emotions, sounds, smells and everything else that was happening at the time. In the Dianetics book, these are called “mental image pictures”. They are full motion pictures with every sense and feeling attached to them. You could close your eyes now and go back to something earlier today and remember the sound, sight, smell and touch of what you ate for breakfast.

Sometimes though, during times of trouble or stress, your reactive mind takes over and records all the emotions, feelings, sounds and everything else about the incident. This information is recorded in full and can be the cause of unwanted pains, emotions and feelings.

It is these pictures, contained in your reactive mind that cause you to do irrational actions.

When someone uses Dianetics auditing in this way to get rid of someone else’s reactive mind, they are called an “auditor”. An auditor is a person trained and qualified in applying Dianetics techniques and procedures to individuals for their betterment; called an auditor because auditor means “one who listens”

Typically in using the Dianetics technology, two people who want to get rid of their reactive mind will twin up together and audit each other on a turn about basis. This can be done in the home or at your nearest Hubbard Dianetics Foundation and if you are doing it with a friend or associate, it is totally free to do as much auditing as you want.

Through auditing you get rid of your reactive mind step by step. Once you have cleared your reactive mind of any ability to cause you problems, you are, what we call in the Dianetics technology, a “Clear”.
